Symbols in to Kill a Mockingbird/Bless Me Ultima
Mockingbirds The scoffer is a symbol that is used to show the idea of innocence. A mocker brings vigor but good with its beautiful songs, so if you kill a mockingbird it is a sin because it is so innocent. Boo Radley is often connected to the mockingbird because he is innocent in his situation and it is wrong for people to slang bad things about him when they do not really know him, and he is slowly destroyed by the people of Maycomb throughout the book.The Mad dog-iron Tim Johnson was a dog infected with rabies that needed to be retch down. The dog is a symbol of racism in the novel. Racism is acquire out of control (just like the dog), and it needs to be put to a stop. Atticus shoots the dog to put him down but racism is a harder challenge to try and defeat. The virtuous of Guadalupe The statue in this novel represents forgiveness and understanding. Whenever Antonio feels troubled he turns to the statue. The statue accepts Antonios failures and always forgives.
